Competition sign-up for the 2027 Danish Brewers Cup, Cup Tasters Championship and Barista Championship will soon open.

The Danish Coffee Championships will take place during Danish Coffee Festival 2027 at TAP1 Copenhagen, 29–31 January 2027.

More Brewers Cup Spots for 2027

Following the high demand for Brewers Cup places in previous years, we have adjusted the 2027 schedule to accommodate additional Brewers Cup competitors.

As part of this change, the Brewers Cup compulsory round will only be held for competitors who advance to the final. This allows us to increase the number of preliminary-round places while maintaining the compulsory element for the final stage of the championship.

We have also built flexibility into the overall allocation of competition places.

Once registration opens and we have a clear picture of demand across Brewers Cup, Barista Championship and Cup Tasters, we may adjust the number of places allocated to each competition.

If one championship has significantly higher demand while another has available capacity, we can allocate a limited number of additional spots. These additional tickets will be released shortly after the initial sign-up, with priority given to competitors already on the relevant waiting list.

If you do not secure a ticket during the initial release, please join the waiting list. Between possible capacity adjustments and normal cancellations, being on the waiting list gives you the best opportunity to secure a competition place.

Our aim is to use the available competition capacity as effectively as possible and give as many people as reasonably possible the opportunity to compete.

Public Competition Sign-Up

The remaining competition places will be released publicly start of october.

Registration date will be available via our instagram, and tivkets will be available via danishcoffeefestival.com.

Competition places are limited and allocated according to availability.

A Competition Place Is a Commitment

Late cancellations have a significant impact on competition planning and can prevent another competitor from taking part.

Competitors who cancel after the stated cancellation deadline will therefore be unable to compete in the following year's Danish Coffee Championships. Exceptional circumstances will, of course, be considered individually.

The exact cancellation deadline and competition terms will be provided as part of the registration process. New for 2027: Exhibitor Pre-Sign-Up

This year, we are introducing an additional benefit for confirmed exhibitors at Danish Coffee Festival 2027.

Before competition tickets are released publicly, each confirmed DCF27 exhibitor will have the opportunity to register one competitor for one of the three Danish Coffee Championships.

Importantly, less than 50% of the total competition tickets will be made available during this pre-release. The majority of competition places will therefore remain available through the public sign-up.

We have made this choice deliberately.

The Danish Coffee Championships should remain accessible to the wider Danish coffee community, including competitors who are not connected to a DCF27 exhibitor. At the same time, the championships are only possible because of Danish Coffee Festival and the companies that support it. Without our exhibitors and sponsors, there is no festival, and without the festival, there are no Danish Coffee Championships.

We therefore believe this strikes a fair balance: supporting the companies that make the event possible while ensuring that the majority of competition places remain available to everyone through the public release.

In addition, one place in each relevant competition will be reserved for the reigning Danish Champion, should they wish to defend their title.
