Danish Coffee Championships
The Danish Coffee Festival hosts three Danish Coffee Championships in which the winner of each will be competing at the World Championship
The three championships are Cup Tasters, Brewers Cup and Barista championship.
Barista Championship explained
The Barista Championship is a competition with a focus on espresso. The competitor brews one espresso, one signature drink and one milk based drink for each of the 4 judges. The one with the most points wins the competition.
Brewers Cup explained
The Brewers Cup is a two part competition. First, the contestants get an unknown coffee, and less than 40 minutes to brew it as they believe it ́s best. In the second part of the competition they can use their own sourced coffee. In the final, the second parts score is cancelled, and the best three from the preliminary round are competing again. The one with the most points after the two rounds wins.
Cup Tasters explained
The Cup Tasters Cup is a competition about being the best at recognizing small differences in coffee. On the table there are 8 squares, each with 3 coffees in them. In each square, there is 2 of the same, and one odd coffee. Their job is to find the odd, and push it to the other side of the table. The one with the most correct wins.
